Morning Matcha, Evening Hojicha?
Matcha gives calm, sustained energy for your day. Hojicha is roasted with naturally low caffeine — soothing for evenings and creating a relaxing night ritual.
What is Hojicha?
Traditional Japanese roasted green tea. Slow-roasted over high heat for a distinctive warm brown color, comforting aroma, and smooth toasty flavor with nutty, caramel notes. Very low caffeine.
How much caffeine?
~20-40mg per serving (1g). Compare to coffee at ~95mg. Rich in L-theanine for calm alertness — no jitters, no crash.
How to store?
Keep sealed in a cool, dark place. Once opened, use within 4-6 weeks for best flavor. Unopened stays fresh up to a year.
Why does my matcha taste bitter?
Use water at 80°C, not boiling. Let kettle rest 2 minutes after boiling. Too hot water extracts bitterness. Use ~1g powder per 70ml water.
